B&B Blauwestadhoeve

Loop on the Ennemaborg estate. Actually, the Ennemaborg is not a "borg" (a form of a Groningen castle), but a country estate. The noble privileges of the family were lacking to be able to call it a borg. The earliest parts of the estate date from the 14th century, but many parts you see now date from the 18th century. The route starts at the coach house (now a restaurant), the mansion and the deer park. You walk south along the canals, into the park woods and then into the natural forest....

The Reiderwold used to be an agricultural area. In 2006, a group of farmers from the East Groningen Agricultural Nature Association joined forces, bought several agricultural plots and started the transformation into a nature reserve. Now you walk through the grasslands along the waters and around the nature reserve. The route leads to the nature theater. You also pass the drumlin, a ten meter high elevation formed in the penultimate ice age. Here you can enjoy beautiful views from the bench...

Round starting from Heiligerlee. After crossing the A7 you walk between the lakes Oldambtmeer and the Midwolderplas, to Midwolda. The route runs entirely on paved roads and is an excellent running route.

Beautiful round of cycling or a challenging, long running route all around the Oldambtmeer. The artificial lake has only been in existence since 2005, but has quickly developed into a beautiful recreational area. There are swimming areas and many opportunities to get out on the water, both in summer and winter. With the route you are close to the water the entire time. The route starts in Windschoten, but you can also start in Midwolda, Oostwold or Blauwestad, where you will also come across...

The Beertsterplas is a Groningen lake that was created by sand excavation. Today, the water serves as a recreation spot, in summer there is swimming, a lot of walking and good fishing (only allowed with a fishing license, see "Contact" for more information). With this route you make a nice round around the water.
