Loop from starting point Kalheupink, near Oldenzaal. The trail runs through the northern part of the Boerskotten estate, up to the highway that crosses the area. Boerskotten is a typical Twente nature reserve, in which almost all the variety of nature in the area passes by. Here you walk from vast grasslands to hedgerows, over avenues with stately trees to forests of rhododendrons. In the summer, wild flowers proliferate and streams flow through the meadows.

Here you can transfer to the Hanzeweg and continue your exploration of the former traders of Europe. There was once a tram track between Oldenzaal and Denekamp. The last tram ran in 1942. With this walking route you follow the old tram track, straight through the landscape. The route passes through fields, forests and estates and passes several rivers. Old pieces of track and two tram houses remind you of the history of the path you follow.
