The river crossing on the trail may not be possible, or very dangerous, if water is being released from the dam. This is not the typical Chalk Ridge Hike. First part of the trail is overgrown in Spring/Summer, but the Boy Scouts are busy improving the trail. For a long time, the area on the north side of the river has been a well kept secret, but is seeing more foot traffic now. Please note there is a steep bank at river crossing.
