The trail is located in the Tinguá Biological Reserve, on the banks of the BR 040, with quick and easy access, just a few meters from the highway. The route is a small black mountain, you can see it from the road. The path shows several crevices and ruptures full of vegetation, with breathtaking views from Pedra do Rolador to the entire city of Petrópolis.

The Federal Biological Reserve of Tinguá extends over an area of 26 thousand hectares, is located in the Serra do Mar and covers six cities, most of which are within the municipality of Nova Iguaçu. The trail passes through mountainous terrain, areas of Atlantic Forest and springs. The climb to Pedra do Macaco, as steep and costly as it is, is rewarding, as the view from its top is indescribable.

The trail is located in the Tinguá Biological Reserve, in Cascatinha, district of Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro. The path is long and with high elevations, but very rewarding with lush landscapes along the way. The route passes through the Três Irmãos First Summit and heads towards Morro do Caititu, which has an elevation of 1025 meters.

The route starts near the Parque Municipal Taquara, an area of preserved Atlantic Forest, in the municipality of Duque de Caxias. The path follows a short dirt path, finding lakes and streams to the Véu de Noiva Waterfall, passing through a beautiful ecological trail. There are views of the diversity of flora and fauna, as well as beautiful natural scenery.
