This outing starts from the village of Yvorne in the canton of Vaud. We are located not far from the town of Aigle. The route joins the Grande Eau river on a flat section and follows it to the intersection of the Rhône. From there, we take the Grand Canal Vaudois and then return via the village of Les Jaccolats.

The path is very varied with some climbs and a lot of water because it follows the Rhône during half of the walk.

The south side of the pass lies in the Rhone Valley; starting point is the village of Yvorne. The 12 km long route leads through many turns up to the pass at 1,538 m. The passage is regulated by one-way traffic in 30-minute intervals. From the pass, visitors have a beautiful view down to Lake Geneva. This is a great beautiful hike to do with time or in two segments. The trail starts in Yvorne and passes through the forest to plunge directly into the Gruyère Pays d'Enhaut Regional Park. The climb arrives at the small lake of Aï (1892m) and La Berneuse. The descent goes through the Col de Luissel (1831m) and Leysin.
