This track is part of the well-known Queen Charlotte Track located in Marlborough Sounds. This section is the longest and most arduous in the entire track. It's a challenging walk or a mountain bike ride from Camp Bay to Torea Saddle with spectacular views along the way. The track passes Eatwell's Lookout, Bay of Many Coves, and Black Rock campsites and descends to Torea Saddle. There's a DOC campsite at Cowshed Bay or private accommodation in Portage Bay. This track follows a short part of the well-known Queen Charlotte Track located in Marlborough Sounds near Picton. It's a steep walk from Kenepuru Saddle to Eatwell's Lookout. You will enjoy spectacular views along the way and the 360-degree view from the lookout. Please note that a track pass is required for this walk. ¨

Mount Stokes is the highest point in the Sounds and provides a sub-alpine habitat. The track is generally well formed but is rocky and rooty underfoot so good footwear is a must. The views from the summit are spectacular, but can often be obscured by low clouds and fog on the sound. Dogs with a DOC permit only. Contact the relevant DOC office to obtain a permit.
