Starting from the quaint shoreline of Wilson Bay, this is a hike through some challenging landscapes that require boating or paddling to the trailhead. Most of the route is exposed to the open weather, so be sure to check the forecast before heading out here. There are a few private backcountry campsites at the middle and end of the route.

From Elaine Bay to Deep Bay, the track is wide and relatively flat. It starts in a Pine forest with nice views out across Tennyson. From Deep Bay to Penzance the track is narrower, rocky underfoot with tree roots and a couple of small streams to cross. The track follows the coastline all the way. There is also a great little DOC campsite at Elaine Bay. Ideal for an overnight stop. Check out the size of the giant stingrays from the jetty!
