Hike in the Cévennes National Park departing from the village of Saint-Étienne-Vallée-Française, in the Lozère department. Along the way, hikers will follow a ridge path from where there will be a beautiful view of the Sainte Croix valley and the Corniche des Cévennes. In summer, it is possible to swim in the river.

The start of this hiking trail is located in Saint-Etienne-Vallée-Française. It passes in particular through the Col Saint-Pierre (below the Saint-Pierre signal which culminates at 695 meters), the Cévennes National Park and below the Pic d'Arbousse (567 meters), before ending at the station of Saint-Jean-du-Gard in the Cévénol Piedmont.

This hiking route in the Massif Central leads to the national forest of the Gardons, in the Cévennes National Park. Hikers start from the Saint-Pierre pass located 597 meters above sea level under the Saint-Pierre signal, in the Gard department, on the border with the Lozère department. At the Saint-Pierre pass, you can see a sandstone marker indicating that this road was a royal road. Hikers descend towards the Gardon de Saint-Jean valley before climbing back up to the Col.

This hilly trail crosses a beautiful grove of pines and chestnut trees, leading you to the heights of the hamlet. Along the way, you will cross several streams, which is ideal for cooling off.
